Hear an ITB-equipped Coyote engine rev through the octaves
There is something about the individual throttle bodies that provides my ears with the exact sound they were looking for. This sound is a mix between vintage racing and the high revving ferocity that the modern v8 engine can deliver. Well, the Innov8 racing engines once again bring the noise with a Coyote engine fitted with their individual throttle bodies. The last video provided by Innov8 Race Engines was a 7.3 liter beast strapped on, this time it’s a modern Ford Motor Company 5.0 liter revving through the octaves.
It seems everyone’s answer to modifying a Coyote engine is simply to apply forced induction. There’s no denying the power potential that comes with a turbo or supercharger setup, but there are people who don’t crave 1000 horsepower and prefer the handling and sound of a body setup much more. individual throttle valve mounted on the V8. However you prefer your engine performance to be acquired, there’s no denying how cool it looks and sounds with intake stacks.
The main complications we had with the Coyote engine were the ECU. Once you move away from the standard Ford ECU it becomes very expensive. I think we’re one of the only ones running an ITB setup on a Gen 3 direct-injected Coyote. Not as bad, but still hurt, was buying four camshafts, versus that of the 7.3-liter engine.
