There are only four non-conference games left before the Summit League game, three of them are at home and the first in the streak is Friday night’s game with Waldorf. South Dakota (4-3) couldn’t secure their first road victory at Nebraska or San Jose State, but remain undefeated at home. Mason Archambault has scored nine 3-pointers in the last two games and is coming off a career-high 21 points at San Jose State. Kruz Perrott-Hunt continues to lead the team in scoring.
The Warriors
Waldorf, an NAIA program from Forest City, Iowa, is 2-7 in his young season. The Warriors are led by senior goaltender Quincy Minor Jr., who averages 14 points per game. He leads five Waldorf starters with an average of nine to 14 points per night. The Warriors average seven 3-pointers per game and are shooting 40% from the field.
The series
This is the second game between these two programs. South Dakota defeated Waldorf 84-59 at Vermillion in the 2012-13 campaign.
One last thing
