BREAKING: Coyote Ridge prisoner escaped | News

UPDATE – 9:36 AM

The Washington State Department of Corrections has released further information regarding escaped Coyote Ridge inmate Joshua Michael Lanter, 29.

It is assumed that he escaped by climbing a fence.

Several agencies respond and search for Lanter.

He weighs around 190 pounds and is 6 feet tall. Lanter has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and beige khaki pants.

Lanter was due for release in September 2022. He had been convicted of robbery, burglary, malicious mischief and taking an unauthorized motor vehicle.

If spotted, Lanter should not be approached. Dial 911 or 509-543-5800.

UPDATE – Coyote Ridge Correctional Center has confirmed that the escaped inmate is Joshua Lanter.

He was last seen by the correctional facility at 4am this morning.

FRANKLIN CO. -Franklin County Sheriffs are looking for a prisoner who escaped from Coyote Ridge.

The North Franklin School District was notified by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office that a prisoner had escaped from Coyote Ridge Correctional Facility.

The NFSD says there is no indication the person is still in town and continuing the school day as planned.

School staff have been notified of the situation and are providing additional monitoring at all schools in the district.

The district says if you’re a concerned parent and want to keep your child home, they’ll excuse their absence for the day.
